You can't use Excel on Android phones because there's no version of Office for Android.
If you have a Google account (which you will with an Android device), you can import your spreadsheet to Google Docs, then bring it up on the phone and edit it that way.

QuickOffice will do it for free or you can buy Documents to Go for $15 US. There is no actual Office programs for smartphones that are not Windows (Microsoft) mobile phones.
