Is it possible to install Google Android onto a Windows Vista PC?

Not an emulator though. I would like to actually see Google Android and get a chance to use it. If not what about a recent and popular version of Linux? Thanks in advance for any help.Is it possible to install Google Android onto a Windows Vista PC?
As far as I know you can't install Android in a PC, but you can install Ubuntu or Fedora or many other Linux distributions. Is it possible to install Google Android onto a Windows Vista PC?

There's also an android-x86.com version. There's several options for 'x86' to work that include running Android from bootup on a CDROM, installing to HD and using Grub, using a Qemu or using VirtualBox. Android is derived from Debian. There's i'net chatter Fedora can be used.
