So my xperia x8 is running android 2.1 and the PC companion says it's up to date. Can I update it to 4.0 or any other by rooting it? If so how?What android version can my SE xperia x8 run?

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 was released in September 2010 and only has 600 MHz processor.
It had on board Android OS, v1.6 (Donut), upgradable to v2.1 Eclair
