What programming languages should I learn for Android OS?

I want to go to school for learning to develop Android/Chrome OS. I read that Java and XML is all I all need. I would like to develop a few applications and a game. What else would I need?What programming languages should I learn for Android OS?
Chrome OS is a Linux based operating system, so I guess C is the language to go.

Android and Chrome OS are two different items. And programming for one does not mean that you will program for the other.



To program Android application, you will need to learn Java and the Android SDK API. This will allow you to make calls to the Android JVM to interact with the phone. Unless your application uses XML, then you do not have to know XML.



Chrome OS, is an OS built by Google. You can think of Chrome as another operating system like Windows and IOS. Chrome OS is suppose to be lightweight and only support browser applications.What programming languages should I learn for Android OS?
