What is the difference between the Android OS and the Windows Mobile OS? Which one's better?

I want to buy a HTC phone. I could get an Android OS or Windows Mobile OS. What is the difference? Which one do you think is better? What is the difference between the Android OS and the Windows Mobile OS? Which one's better?
The simplest answer to your question is this. A recent consumer survey asked smartphone users how satisfied they are with their phones, 56% of windows mobile users said they were very satisfied, while 77% of android users said they were very satisfied.

I've used both. I was a winmo user for many years, but simply couldn't resist the droid when it came out. It simply blows windows mobile out of the water in every way. There is absolutely no advantage of winmo over android. What is the difference between the Android OS and the Windows Mobile OS? Which one's better?
Android is the new Linux based OS from Google.

Windows Mobile OS is the old Windows based OS from Microsoft.

Make your own choice -- the Windows Mobile OS probably fits better currently for business applications, but my choice would probably be Android. What is the difference between the Android OS and the Windows Mobile OS? Which one's better?
Both are mobile operating system. Difference is in their manufacturing companies. Android OS is a google product while Windows mobile OS is a Microsoft product.
