What can a Droid phone do that other (non-Verizon) android phones can't?

I know that the android OS is available on other phones using carriers other than Verizon. Can the Verizon phone do anything different? And do you need a data plan to use the android OS on phones other than Droid?What can a Droid phone do that other (non-Verizon) android phones can't?
What I've discovered about the droid isn't that it doesn THAT much more than other phones, its just that it does it so much faster. The phone's processor is really fast and makes the internet really easy to use. For instance, I'm using mine right now to answer this question without any trouble. Other than that, it runs a lot of apps similar to the iPhone.

EDIT: yes, it does have a data plan, mine's 30 bucks a month but I know that if you're willing to go with sprint, you can get a full data plan for 15.What can a Droid phone do that other (non-Verizon) android phones can't?
The Droid is far superior to all other phones because of the level of customization and personality that is coupled with blazing fast surfing speeds. Not only does Droid surf the internet faster than other phones, but it also allows you to maniuplate it to suit your liking. There are endless amounts of options with regards to how you can make your Droid more "you."

what do you mean there are multiple android phones on verison the htc droid incredible the motorola droid 2 and the motorola droid x its not features the droid x and the droid incredible are two of the fastest phones.
droid DOES, while other phones don't. yes. you do need a data plann. it should be about 30 a month, that was with my old verizon phone anyways...good luck!
