What the different between android gingerbread and honeycomb?

What are the diffent between honeycomb and gingerbread? Cause I want to buy android tablet and there is 2 version android honeycomb and gingerbread..

Gingerbread is a smartphone OS, designed for smartphone, there are tablets like galaxy which have gingerbread but those are like smartphones OS with bigger screen.



Where as Honeycomb is designed for Tablets with multiple views and some good changes in native apps wich makes it ideal for Tablets



Few months down the line there will be icecream sandwitch Android OS, which will be a merger or gingerbread and honeycomb

Firstly you needn't jail break your android :) You can install non-market apps by a simple change of preference in the settings menu.

Honey comb is the version specific for tablets. Although both honeycomb and gingerbread can run the same android apps, honeycomb was designed keeping the tablets in mind , and hence pulls it off better.
They are the names of the different Android Operating Systems.

Android 2.3 is also known as Gingerbread, whereas Android 3.0 is known as Honeycomb.

So if you have to select between these two versions, then I'd suggest you to go for the Honeycomb as it is much more advanced and user friendly than gingerbread.What the different between android gingerbread and honeycomb?
Both are good, and yes you can download apps. You wont need to jail break it however. But be warned that their can be viruses in these non app store apps. You can access the root directory of the andriod tablets aswell. They arent all controlled by an evil dictator like Apple.
The android phones are using gingerbread and the tablets of android are using honeycomb.
