the difference between cell phone and smartphone,is like difference b/w a t.v and computer.you can watch movie and play songs in both but a computer does a lot more like apps,games,softwares etc.

WHY PEOPLE PREFER ANDROID?

there are reasons

1.lot of phones and makers to choose from.

2.lot of games ,apps

3.open source os,ie;anyone can use/develop it.symbian is a property of nokia alone.

4.misconception and marketing.

5.android is poor mans iphone.

6.nokia giving priority to windows more than symbian.

7.symbian is a better os,for devs,and for smartphones,its ux/eye candy factor was not that great but nokia is improving it.What makes a cellphone smartphone ? Whats the difference between android and symbian ?
